Mekong Delta Homestay Tour - The Untouched Land

Experience living in the Mekong Delta and explore it by boat. On this trip, you will be taken to Mekong's untouched lands. In addition, you will be staying in traditional Vietnamese houses and will have opportunity to interact with the local people. Not only will you be able to visit the local floating market, but you can even help the locals cook some Vietnamese dishes.

• 07:00: Car to Vinh Long province.
• 12:00: Arrive at a small village - non touristy town in Vinh Long province, only available at Innoviet. Motor-boat will bring you to the home-stay, and there you'll be greeted by the host family.
• 13:00: Have lunch in a very cozy atmosphere.
• 14:00: Relax on hammock.
• 14:30: Ride your bike (about 2.5 hours) around the small village roads shaded by bamboo, banana, rambutan, pomelo, and mangosteen trees. Pass the immense green rice fields with flying egrets, working farmers and admire the beautiful scenery. You will see the local students on their way back to home from school in their beautiful Ao Dai uniform. Visit some houses where you can meet local people and see their real life. You'll have an overview of the "Rice Making Procedure" in one Rice workshop. You'll get to know what are the "same same, but different" trees in the Mekong Delta. You will practice & try to guess the names of these trees just by your nose! We visit a brick factory, then walk to a pagoda and stroll around a very quiet garden of pagoda.
• 17:00: Back to the home-stay. Prepare for dinner cooking with many recipes of Vietnamese food, have dinner.Take part in a Vietnamese lesson with the family for shopping in market tomorrow. After that we walk around the village to see and catch fire-flies before retiring in one of the rural houses in the Mekong Delta.

• 06:30: Visit the floating market by boat in the early morning and see how people there live and trade. You'll go shopping at the market on land where you will be Vietnamese to buy something for lunch in Vietnamese. Then boat back to the home-stay. You will join in making rice paper, walking through the fruit gardens and fields, feeding the fish and helping farmers cultivate farm products. You'll take part in a mini cooking class for lunch. After taking a rest, you'll say good bye to the host family.
• 13:00: Car back to Ho Chi Minh City or local express bus to Rach Gia/ Chau Doc.
