Elios Hotel

Great friendly hotel Staff run out and greet you as you arrive and escort you accross the busy road Breakfast was very good -- I have been in 5 star hotels with worse breakfasts Something new all the time- 19/08/2008, Mr. Stephen Jeffress
This hotel ios in a great location, walking distance to the main Ben Thanh market and in proximity to lots of restaurants and street shopping. It is quite new, clean and comfortable. The restaurant in the hotel is on the roof top so has a great 180 degree view of saigon and the food is great- a mixture of Asian an western dishes. I would highly recommend it.- 11/08/2008, Ms. Amanda Coyne

Royal Pearl Hotel (Tan Hoang Ngoc)
BookLocation: Ben Thanh Market area
From: USD 55.00
You are asking us to give you a feedback form re Royal Pearl Hotel! Please be advised that YOUR COMPANY has made a wrong booking for us. You booked us for Aug 28-29. Our booking is for Sept 18-21. I don't really understand how this happened but I am very sure my booking was for three nites for USD 234. I have send several emails disputing the booking of Aug 28-29 and the charges. Our airline tickets are for Sept18-21 so we could have possibly NOT booked for Aug 28. I have never had any problem in the past with my online bookings in the past. Please assist us in resolving teh problem and then we can give you VERY good reviews. Thanks - 02/09/2008, Mr. Mateo Mayuga

Le Duy Hotel
BookLocation: Pham Ngu Lao Area

The staff was overall good and helpful especially the receptionist. The bed was not really comfortable and the bedsheet was not any good either, feeling itchy all over the body next morning especially on the first night. I requested window for this room and given but I only opened it once since unable to see anything from there. Surprisingly the room has got wi-fi. The next door to this hotel is an ice-cream shop, they cannot understand English and the ice-cream is not as nice as you will expect for just ice-cream shop, though they do serve the tea in between; a good idea of drink with sweet food. Many of the people (exclude receptionist/hotel line) cannot understand English unlike what is written over the website. This hotel is very near to all travel agents where you can actually walk there as the pick up charges is USD3/way and the hotel commission is USD2 for 2person. They certainly put high priority and great effort for tourism. Metered taxi is about USD7 to airport. We paid for USD10 from airport to hotel. Personally do not really like this city and since had visited few of the place of interest here, would rather prefer cities in China, value for money in time to come. - 05/09/2008, Ms. Soh Michelle
We were very happy with the Le Duy Hotel. It offers a higher standard than the price may indicate. All the staff were friendly and efficient, and genuinely tried to help. The hotel provides an very good breakfast - a wide range of choices with plenty of fresh fruit. - 25/08/2008, Mrs. STELLA WARD

Duc Vuong Hotel
BookLocation: Pham Ngu Lao Area
From: USD 10.00
great location, clean rooms and bathrooms, fresh sheets, free internet, free mineral water. overall great value for money...no wonder it's a best-seller!- 05/07/2008, Ms. Doanne Arguelles
DV staff was friendly and courteous. The only inconvenient issue was the AC. Everytime the room's key is removed from the holder, it shuts down the power to the AC. In doing so, when guest returns to the room, he/she has to wait for a period to cool down as power is available. Breakfast menu could use some improvement.- 12/01/2008, Mr. Thien Ta

Hai Long 1
BookLocation: Pham Ngu Lao Area
From: USD 30.00
What's the old saying you pay for what you get? The hotel was what you would expect for $45.00 AUS per night, however we booked 2 rooms (superior City View with balcony) we received 1 room as described in the new section and the other room in the old section. The room in the old section was far from what was expected, the phone did not work and could not be fixed, the lamp shorted out however was replaced, the clock did not work, the bath/shower was very average, the room was dingy, and the TV did not have a chanell that you could watch in english. Dont be fooled by the picture as the hotel looks nothing like this, it consists of 2 sections - 1 new and 1 old. I was actually asked to leave the waiting room of the older section whist waiting for my sister because I was not booked into that section, the breakfast that is included is very mediaoca with an omlette consisting of 2 eggs beaten and fried, not to mention the butter being mixed with sugar however if your looking for the cheap alternative close to Bang Trang Markets (if you really wish to visit this country) its not too bad if you get what you book. A word of warning if you are catching a Taxi from the airport to the hotel this should only cost you $120,000 VDN (doong) around $7-8 AUS we were charged $500,000 (approx. $36 AUS) this was the start of the scams that would be encounted in this country wrecking a good holiday. WHAT AN EXPERIENCE, NEVER TO BE REPEATED. Could not wait to see the rear end of HO CHI MINH CITY and for that matter N!!!- 29/08/2008, Mrs. Nita Skewpeck
Had a deluxe room for a party of 4. It was clean. Breakfast was horrible. There wasn't much choice. If you're travelling with the elderly, skip this hotel especially if you're staying on the first floor. Although they have elevators, you still have to climb the stairs to your rooms. However, its only about 05-10mins to Ben Thah market. If you need viet dongs, there are money changers near ben thah or you can go to Zen Plaza, a mere 05mins fom the hotel. Good for backpackers. - 16/05/2008, Ms. Rosilah Rahim
